4 ways NHS partners can utilise Livi

Last updated:

At Livi, we understand the pressures many healthcare providers are facing. With a challenge to deliver more with increasingly less, we’re here to help resources go further for your patient population.

That’s why our services are developed bespoke to suit the needs of our NHS partners and budget, and can scale as required should needs change. Our pricing model is flexible and transparent too, with no subscription, setup or licensing fees.

Whether it’s short or long term, individual practice or system, we can help. And all training, engagement and marketing costs are covered by Livi. Livi can also be contracted through a number of funding streams detailed here.

Here’s just 4 ways you can utilise Livi services.

1. PCN Directed Enhanced Services (DES)

Livi can support with the requirements of the PCN DES, delivering digital consultations under the scope of enhanced access core hours.

The network contract DES allows for a mixture of both face-to-face and remote consultations and Livi provides appointments between the hours of 6.30pm and 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am-5pm on Saturdays. Livi has partnered with 40 PCNs to deliver enhanced access services to date.

2. General Practice Core Funding

Core funding may be utilised for digital clinical support to boost practice capacity.

Livi supplies digital resource directly to practices across the UK with additional appointments available within the practice clinical system. Our service mirrors local pathways, processes and formularies, and functions seamlessly as part of the practice team. Reallocation of locum spend may also be used to fund Livi.

3. ICB System Development Funding (SDF)

ICBs can also contract Livi through SDF to provide additional capacity to practices that need support, specifically in relation to Practice Resilience and Digitally Enabled Flexible Staffing Pools.

£8m has been designated for General Practice Resilience Funding for 2022/23. Funding for flexible staffing pools is designed to support capacity in general practice, allow for better visibility of locally available resource and provide greater structure for local GPs wanting to work flexibly.

4. Winter pressures

Support is available for general practices, PCNs, NHS 111 and urgent care centres for winter pressures though Livi Practice and Livi Urgent Care.
